Event Staffing

Joy Smith Foundation events raise funds to support survivors. Volunteers are needed to staff the information table and sell fundraising items at events and speaking engagements.

Event Participation

Our fundraisers require team captains and participants to ride and walk in towns and cities across Canada in support of Joy Smith Foundation. Learn more about our next event: Joy in Action

Advocate

Screening Events
Our greatest tool for ending human trafficking is education. Organize a screening of the Joy Smith Foundation documentary and make a big difference in your community. Ask for a screening event kit!

School Presenters
We’re training volunteers to present in schools using Joy Smith Foundation educational materials.

Fundraise

Do you have an idea for a fundraising event? We’d love to hear it. Funds raised will stay in your province to support grants for frontline organizations that rescue and rehabilitate survivors.

I came from a middle-class Christian family. My parents are wonderful. Looking back, I never thought that I would ever land up as a victim of human trafficking. I got out of being trafficked but the guilt and anger still remained with me. It was when I was sitting in a presentation by Mrs. Smith about human trafficking and how the traffickers work that I came to realize that it was not my fault. The education program that the Joy Smith Foundation puts forward is such a help to me as a trafficked survivor. It changed my life. The Joy Smith Foundation helped me to rebuild my life. I am now so happy to help out any way I can to be a part of this wonderful Foundation that helped me to restore my life.
